We will introduce imaging concepts, covering both light and electron microscopy with an emphasis on neuroscience and biology applications. We will introduce the relevant optical concepts, advanced sample preparation and different labeling methods. The aim is to enable students to critically assess available methods, chose appropriate technologies for their own applications, and give guidance for quality assessment and interpretation of data.
Target group: Graduate students, postdocs, technical staff interested in imaging. Audience from any track will be welcome.

Evaluation: Active participation.
