This course introduces the foundations of nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. It will cover
* the principles of nuclear magnetism and some of its quantum mechanical foundations
* description of NMR experiments using the product operator formalism
* NMR instrumentation
* radiofrequency pulse sequences
* acquisition and processing of NMR data
* applications of NMR

Participants shall be able after this course to understand one-dimensional and multidimension NMR experiments as well as the processing and information content.

Target group: This course is ideal for (but not only for) anyone interested in using NMR for their research.
